I always hear.....don't do a post without photos? why? visuals are important. We see so many kinds of photos and quality levels out there. In an effort to 'get better' Tracy has been having some fun photo parties.
Today we are doing some 'macro' shots.
I love the detail and shadows on this one
These are some shell napkin rings

Ready for some color?? This was taken last summer.

Thanks so much for linking up. The texture of the shells and the shine of the pearls looks so pretty close up. BUT that beetle is awesome. I want to take an awesome beetle photo. Hurry up summer so I can have a cool photo like Linda.
whoa, the colors in that beetle shot are awesome! great job!
Awesome shots Linda....I will be joining Tracy too, later tomorrow. And I can't wait to be joining your partay on Friday, I scored something fun today!
Wow Linda - you are a very good photographer! I haven't the foggiest of how to do macro shots.
Oh, I love your close-ups, Linda. I don't think my camera can GET that close-up! I remember the beetle shot. It's soooo cool. Great job! Susan
That was fun. I don't know how to use the macro lens on my camera. I am afraid to change the settings on it because I don't see well with that tiny writing. LOL! But I will live vicariously through you, Linda. Okay??? :-)
XO,
Sheila :-)
Great photos!!!
I love them all but that beetle is amazing! Great shots, Linda.
Beautiful photos Linda. I love Mr. Beetle. Looking forward to summer right now! It is no fun getting a close up of snow.LOL

I agree about photos in every post!! The photos are what draws me in most of the time!
love the shells....especially the thoughts the evoke of the beach....especially with an inch of ice that fell overnight!!!
Mmmmm....nice stuff. Love the orangey color! Everything is grey and white here.
Beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful shots! I love photography, but I am an amateur. I have a Canon power shot sx20. I am always looking for the next lucky shot. Thanks for sharing. judy
Hi Linda. Great macros. Is that top one a bedspread? It looks beautifully hand crocheted (or knitted). I can never tell the difference - ha.
I need a better camera, or perhaps it isn't the camera, it is just me. Oh well. I love your photos. I'm getting ready for another snow storm maybe I will get some photos.
Nice job! I am pretty sure my camera won't do that. :D
Wow, these are great macros. I never seem to get quality shots with the micro setting. I need to take a few lessons from you. I only have a Nikon Coolpix. Perhaps that's part of it. ;-) What do you use? The first photo of the textile is awesome. ~ Sarah
Very beautiful photos, I love the bright and bold colors of the beetle on the flower. Wonderful job!
Oh! You have some really beautiful macro shots. I see I have a lot to learn. I posted my first hand at macros at Tracy's and don't mind being critiqued and offered advice.
Very nice photos Linda!
Oh Linda - I love love those - great shots. You are such a great photographer. sandie
I like your new look here and photo's..very pretty! Good luck with your book :D
Great photos Linda! I need to practice my camera skills. I never try anything different with my photos. Maybe I should try some macros too. Yours sure turned out great. laurie
I need to tell hubby about this macro party, he has so many great shots. I just noticed that your grandbaby is due in April, may I ask the date? My birthday is the 27th and it sure has been lucky for me. Thanks for always commenting on my new posts.
That was fun and so much colors! Love it!
Gorgeous photos Linda!
Great photos. Your beetle shot is awesome.
Great photos - did you go take a photo after that beetle ate the flower all up? Those dang bugs love to eat my roses..
